The brief for Alkalime was to design an environment that is welcoming, and where instinctively, visitors can feel that they belong.

Overlooking a peaceful, sandy waterfront, the context with its high bay windows were a good opportunity for us to introduce ample light flows, and natural elements in a non-conformist way.
Natural woods, concrete and mint to deep hues of green formed a palette of a space that is balanced – an escapism within which one can immerse and freely engage.

The overall feel-good eatery is built on the premise of bringing the outside – in, the concept of permeable membranes dotted throughout, creating a zen setting freed from exterior boundaries, where we can feel most grounded.

Alkalime is a pool of complementary functions working together, with the shared objective to showcase qualities and elements of a ‘universally friendly’ design, providing a space of contentment for all.
